“From Strings to Sparkles: The Art of Sculpting Sound” by John Woodruff

Witness how the vibrations of a violin string and the voltages in a synthesizer share the same secrets. Join self-proclaimed Sound Scientist John Woodruff for a whirlwind tour of sound synthesis, complete with visual and audio demos. Come on—let’s disassociate to lo-fi ambient drones together.

John is a signal-processing whiz, algorithm tinkerer, and founder of Oddment Audio, where he builds digital synthesizers and audio effects. Previously, he developed hearing-assistance and protection tech for those little white earbuds from a certain large fruit company. He lives and makes noise in Traverse City, MI.

“Why You Should Continue to Play: benefits of board gaming at any age” by Kyle Delgado

Wonder if you should still be playing board games? The answer is of course, yes!

Kyle is the owner of Tabletop Underground and has been organizing board games meet ups for as long as we can remember. You can catch him hosting them at Tank Space the 3rd Thursday of the month.

Be there and be square!
